Hold on to your butts, because we’re revisiting one of our most popular categories: Dinosaur World!
These prehistoric creatures lived in perilous times, and now they’ll have even more hazards to dodge in Crossy Road. Try not to get fossilised in a tar pit, or burnt to a crisp in a river of lava…and look out for that T-Rex!
Between August 3 - 16, update the Crossy Road app and claim Dinosaur Chicken (if you don’t already have her) to be transported to the new and improved Dinosaur World!
A prehistoric evolution
Originally released in September 2016, it’s been nearly ten whole years since dinosaurs first roamed Crossy Road. Whew! In that time, we’ve received a lot of feedback for Dinosaur World. One thing we kept hearing was that the characters and environments could be a bit confusing. Of course, it’s nice to have a challenge when you’re playing a game like Crossy Road…but we wanted that challenge to feel fair!
Just like the Ocean World reef-fresh, we’ve given Dinosaur World a visual and mechanical makeover that we hope addresses this feedback. Here are some changes you might notice:
⭐ Lanes: Boundaries between lanes are higher contrast and easier to see.
⭐ ‘Train lane‘ warnings: The warning is easier to see, and it’s more obvious which lane it’s signalling.
⭐ Herds: Dinosaur herds have more consistent movement and shapes, so it’s clearer to see which lane an obstacle is in and how much space it’s occupying.
⭐ Glow-up: We’ve added some colour and variety overall, making the environment more interesting and fun!
But this update is more than just a cosmetic facelift! There’s some hot new content coming your way:
⭐ New characters: Delicious and secret.
⭐ New mechanics: Tar pits, eruptions, and more!
New characters
Dino Nuggies
They say that certain species of dinosaur survived extinction to become the chickens we know and love today. Unfortunately, certain chickens did not survive becoming these delicious crumbed treats. Unlock Dino Nuggies in Crossy Road to collect and grow your nuggie army!

Life finds a way…
These characters can be unlocked any time, so don’t despair if you miss the event period…but why wait? Hop to the hot new Dinosaur World from August 3 for a truly (r)evolutionary update!
